Axell Helssens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bram Beets's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Bram Beets managed to get in a good position for a shot. ADO Den Haag's supporters rose to their feet, but Bram Beets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Axell Helssens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, SK Kolegem's goalkeeper Axell Helssens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurice Verheije. Maurice Machiels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Martin De Marrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Machiels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Koninkx in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the SK Kolegem players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ADO Den Haag.
