After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Sebbe Huijbrechs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gierle's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebbe Huijbrechs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After some careless play in the Waalshoek defense, Sebbe Huijbrechs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathijs Van Der Weghen. The Waalshoek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathijs Van Der Weghen should have stopped the shot. Sebbe Huijbrechs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathijs Van Der Weghen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Gierle's Rudi Reyniers shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johannes Roosendael made a kick off. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
