After 20 minutes, Martial Wellens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sautour and the KAA Grandmenil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Sautour was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martial Wellens to maneuver through the defense. Daevy Dekens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Voets having to interfere. In the 31st minute of the match Renaud Rockeloos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Voets showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Ive Bernaers came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the KAA Grandmenil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ive Bernaers couldn't finish the play. Robrecht Baecke was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jorre de Pelsmaker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play. Johan De Vleeschauwer kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Jorre de Pelsmaker made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Sautour's goalkeeper Thomas Voets had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ive Bernaers. Jorre de Pelsmaker might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robrecht Baecke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorre de Pelsmaker ran back to his position shaking his head. Nils Van Beneden charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils Van Beneden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Jorre de Pelsmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sautour's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorre de Pelsmaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robrecht Baecke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robrecht Baecke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Decremer in the 80th minute of play. Edwin Decremer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, KAA Grandmenil's goal looked a bit too open when Jorre de Pelsmaker came free, but Robrecht Baecke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daevy Dekens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Johan De Vleeschauwer fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KAA Grandmenil's protests and gave Johan De Vleeschauwer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Johan De Vleeschauwer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edwin Decremer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robrecht Baecke having to interfere. Daevy Dekens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Voets having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KAA Grandmenil had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
