Edmond Sellekaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brend Wynant in the 6th minute of the match. When Timmy Sproten came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Spanito fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmy Sproten couldn't finish the play. Timmy Sproten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmond Sellekaers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Jens Oelaerts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dante Dierickx went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jim Styles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Oelaerts having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Floris Van Hole ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens Oelaerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Sparta Raptors booed when Spanito fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luk Van Baerlem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Goffrey Eli hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Sparta Raptors were furious when Ward Stuckens was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sparta Raptors fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Spanito fc a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Timothy Wittemans, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sparta Raptors's Edmond Sellekaers. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Sproten in the 39th minute of play forced Sparta Raptors's goalkeeper Edmond Sellekaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Dierickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jens Oelaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmond Sellekaers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brend Wynant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim-Alexander Vanhaeren in the 43rd minute of play forced Sparta Raptors's goalkeeper Edmond Sellekaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timmy Sproten was the one to do the kick off. Ruben De Roeck was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dante Dierickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jens Oelaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Ruben De Roeck got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jens Oelaerts quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Dante Dierickx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens Oelaerts was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. A collision led to Spanito fc getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Louis-Philippe De Hertoghe hit a great ball. If Jim Styles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Louis-Philippe De Hertoghe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edmond Sellekaers. Louis-Philippe De Hertoghe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Sproten in the 79th minute of play forced Sparta Raptors's goalkeeper Edmond Sellekaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Goffrey Eli in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens Oelaerts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jens Oelaerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Dierickx's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When Goffrey Eli came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Sparta Raptors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goffrey Eli couldn't finish the play.
