Diego Breugelmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fred Decoster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geert-Jan De Raeve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sparta Waarschoot's goalkeeper George De Fever, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Anthisnes's zone, Guy Van Haght stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Decoster came out of the goal and Guy Van Haght tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sparta Waarschoot booed when Anthisnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franck Theys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Decoster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Van Haght, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guy Van Haght sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Geert-Jan De Raeve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Breugelmans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fred Decoster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Breugelmans in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Anthisnes's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Breugelmans came free, but Fred Decoster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anthisnes's Fred Decoster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Breugelmans in the 64th minute of play. Diego Breugelmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fred Decoster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sparta Waarschoot getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Guy Van Haght hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Anthisnes's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Breugelmans came free, but Fred Decoster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Guy Van Haght had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
