In the 12th minute, Geert-Jan De Raeve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Decoster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannick Heers in the 16th minute of play. Fred Decoster didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jannick Heers went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute Jannick Heers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Decoster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franck Theys's late challenge caught a Bokstale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franck Theys helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Anthisnes's Franck Theys got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Fred Decoster came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bokstale's Senne Caes. But to his dismay, Senne Caes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Jannick Heers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fred Decoster was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Senne Caes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Fred Decoster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Senne Caes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Decoster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Senne Caes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Jannick Heers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bokstale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jannick Heers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Senne Caes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Bokstale were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sander Klinkenberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Anthisnes's Fred Decoster got control of the ball when Senne Caes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Geert-Jan De Raeve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anthisnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geert-Jan De Raeve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Senne Caes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Fred Decoster made a huge save. Jannick Heers was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Bokstale's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Sander Klinkenberg came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Anthisnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sander Klinkenberg couldn't finish the play. Gillis Van den Bossche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jannick Heers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Senne Caess short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Fred Decoster to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Senne Caes took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Decoster. Fred Decoster dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Senne Caes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Senne Caes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Senne Caes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Jannick Heers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bokstale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jannick Heers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Bokstale could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anthisnes throughout the match.
