If Dante De Keyser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Diego Breugelmans dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yanniek den Pelsmaeker, 1-0. In the 10thth minute of the game Jasper Deckers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sparta Waarschoot's George De Fever was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Diego Breugelmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louis Van Caubergen took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George De Fever. George De Fever dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Louis Van Caubergen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. George De Fever tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yanniek den Pelsmaeker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Breugelmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guy Van Haght fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanniek den Pelsmaeker having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, RSC Gottignies's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Breugelmans came free, but Yanniek den Pelsmaeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George De Fever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Van Caubergen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Louis Van Caubergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Breugelmans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sparta Waarschoot's Guy Van Haght got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Breugelmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yanniek den Pelsmaeker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Breugelmans in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Stijn Haesevoets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the game, Phillipe De Witte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Gottignies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sparta Waarschoot the free kick. In the 61st match minute, RSC Gottignies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillipe De Witte to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Lode Elssen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sparta Waarschoot's zone, Louis Van Caubergen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George De Fever came out of the goal and Louis Van Caubergen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sparta Waarschoot's Gilian Degraef got a free kick in the 69th minute. Louis Van Caubergen in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of George De Fever, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 80th minute Diego Breugelmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanniek den Pelsmaeker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, RSC Gottignies's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Van Haght came free, but Yanniek den Pelsmaeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Guy Van Haght had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yanniek den Pelsmaeker. RSC Gottignies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guy Van Haght was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Diego Breugelmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yanniek den Pelsmaeker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Breugelmans in the 92nd minute of the match. If Jasper Deckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
