The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Boudewijn Van Den Broeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvain Bal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boudewijn Van Den Broeck struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Silvain Bal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mazenhoven. In the 12th minute, Mats Isemborgh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mazenhoven fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Rundershoek's Claus Biermans got a free kick in the 18th minute. Mats Isemborgh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rundershoek's goalkeeper Silvain Bal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boudewijn Van Den Broeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvain Bal having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Rundershoek's goalkeeper Silvain Bal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mats Isemborgh. Rundershoek's Silvain Bal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Rundershoek from getting a goal against them. Silvain Bal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boudewijn Van Den Broeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boudewijn Van Den Broeck in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvain Bal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boudewijn Van Den Broeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvain Bal having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boudewijn Van Den Broeck was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Dominik Lanen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 57 minutes into the match, Boudewijn Van Den Broeck notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rundershoek's Silvain Bal. Silvain Bal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boudewijn Van Den Broeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvain Bal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Mazenhoven's Bart-Jan Imbrechts got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rundershoek's Silvain Bal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart-Jan Imbrechts in the 68th minute of play. Silvain Bal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boudewijn Van Den Broeck in the 71st minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Rundershoek's goal looked a bit too open when Boudewijn Van Den Broeck came free, but Silvain Bal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Rundershoek got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Lanen. Silvain Bal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boudewijn Van Den Broeck in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boudewijn Van Den Broeck in the 82nd minute of play forced Rundershoek's goalkeeper Silvain Bal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boudewijn Van Den Broeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvain Bal having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boudewijn Van Den Broeck in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvain Bal saved Rundershoek from getting behind. Rundershoek's Silvain Bal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Isemborgh in the 95th minute of play. Silvain Bal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boudewijn Van Den Broeck in the 96th minute of play. Rundershoek's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
