After having played for 3 minutes, Pierre-Olivier Van Eede managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Rijkevorsel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre-Olivier Van Eede was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kamiel Dewinter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamiel Dewinter hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Rob Van Glabeeke kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gino Bekaert during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Schaffen! Pierre-Olivier Van Eede shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Schaffen's Stein Demeester proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Schaffen from getting a goal against them. Schaffen's Gino Bekaert got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Gino Bekaert off the ground. In the 24th minute, one of Schaffen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Schaffen. Etienne Oyen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Kamiel Dewinter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Rijkevorsel's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamiel Dewinter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stein Demeester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kamiel Dewinter's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Stein Demeester skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kamiel Dewinter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stein Demeester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamiel Dewinter, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kamiel Dewinter in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stein Demeester saved Schaffen from getting behind. Kamiel Dewinter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd match minute, Club Rijkevorsel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Van hoeijveld to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Louis Van hoeijveld shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stein Demeester showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kamiel Dewinter in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stein Demeester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kamiel Dewinter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Demeester having to interfere. Louis Van hoeijveld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Stein Demeester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Schaffen getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jacque Fouquet hit a great ball. Club Rijkevorsel's Theo van der Eycken got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
