After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Louis-Philippe Daems managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV De Ruiter's supporters rose to their feet, but Louis-Philippe Daems was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joonatan Gijselinx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Gielens kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, rsc superjupiler's goal looked a bit too open when Louis-Philippe Daems came free, but Joonatan Gijselinx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Florian Shamp notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of rsc superjupiler's Joonatan Gijselinx. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis-Philippe Daems couldn't finish the play. If Arnaud Voets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louis-Philippe Daems in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joonatan Gijselinx saved rsc superjupiler from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natan Blommaert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo Gielens scored 2-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Klaus Gijselinghs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joonatan Gijselinx made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Florian Shamp sent off a good shot on target. Natan Blommaert might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klaus Gijselinghs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natan Blommaert ran back to his position shaking his head. Louis-Philippe Daems sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Klaus Gijselinghs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Deflandre in the 73rd minute of the match. Joonatan Gijselinx stood somewhat misplaced when Florian Shamp came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 75 minute. After a rather tough play, rsc superjupiler's Arnaud Voets got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Bobby Hosselaer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joonatan Gijselinx showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Klaus Gijselinghs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Deflandre in the 84th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natan Blommaert during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute, rsc superjupiler's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Florian Shamp fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 90th minute, Thomas-Jan Uytdebroeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joonatan Gijselinx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Louis-Philippe Daems's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The KSV De Ruiter supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KSV De Ruiter would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
