Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Louis-Philippe Daems kicked off to start the match. Etienne Oyen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Klaus Gijselinghs made a huge save. Etienne Oyen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Klaus Gijselinghs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, KSV De Ruiter's Stef Van den Berghe got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Etienne Oyen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florian Shamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Etienne Oyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Etienne Oyen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Schaffen's goal looked a bit too open when Louis-Philippe Daems came free, but Stein Demeester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Regis Torfs hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis-Philippe Daems in the 49th minute of play forced Schaffen's goalkeeper Stein Demeester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Regis Torfs to make the kick off. Louis-Philippe Daems sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Florian Shamp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KSV De Ruiter fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 64th minute, Yoeri Leempoels made a precise shot to the right of Klaus Gijselinghs. KSV De Ruiter's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Klaus Gijselinghs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Regis Torfs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st match minute, Schaffen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoeri Leempoels to maneuver through the defense. Louis-Philippe Daems received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Regis Torfs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Gijselinghs having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KSV De Ruiter had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
