Hans Van Linthoud hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Amel's Walter Vereyt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Timmy De Groot might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andris Humbelets. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timmy De Groot ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Hulshout's Andris Humbelets got control of the ball when Reinard Weynants tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timmy De Groot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Andris Humbelets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Reinard Weynants managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amel's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinard Weynants was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andris Humbelets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Timmy De Groot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timmy De Groot kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match.

Ivan Van Den Broeck charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Andris Humbelets stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timmy De Groot's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. If Timmy De Groot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Reinard Weynants had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor De Keijser took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andris Humbelets. Hulshout's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timmy De Groot in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andris Humbelets prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the match, Amel's Timmy De Groot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andris Humbelets narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reinard Weynants fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andris Humbelets having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Cesar Vanden Driessche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walter Vereyt, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The audience was convinced that Timmy De Groot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andris Humbelets was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, Hulshout's goal looked a bit too open when Reinard Weynants came free, but Andris Humbelets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Timmy De Groot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hulshout succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Amel had controlled the match.
