Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sebbe De Vreese made the kick off which started today's match. Jeremy Van Collenborgh hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Sebbe De Vreese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerard Spoelberch having to interfere. Gerard Spoelberch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Franckx in the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Diest's zone, Bernt Franckx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerard Spoelberch came out of the goal and Bernt Franckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, FC Diest's goal looked a bit too open when Sebbe De Vreese came free, but Gerard Spoelberch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Diest's Michel Claevers got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 25 played minutes, SV Moorslede's Matthias Braeckman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerard Spoelberch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SV Moorslede reached it. Bernt Franckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gerard Spoelberch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Diest fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! In the 35th minute there was a penalty for SV Moorslede. Geordy Jonckers stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gerard Spoelberch. 0-1. Sebbe De Vreese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. FC Diest's Gerard Spoelberch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebbe De Vreese in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Diest's Teun Rockeloos got a free kick in the 48th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico Hemeleers made a kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of FC Diest:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SV Moorslede:s goal. Jacq Sterckmans charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacq Sterckmans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Sebbe De Vreese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Van Steen hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, SV Moorslede's Geordy Jonckers broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. FC Diest's Gerard Spoelberch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebbe De Vreese in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, FC Diest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Francx to maneuver through the defense. Bernt Franckx in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerard Spoelberch, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Sebbe De Vreese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Spoelberch came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by SV Moorslede's Bernt Franckx. But to his dismay, Bernt Franckx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 92nd minute of the match Alexander Van Steen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jannick Rutgeerts showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernt Franckx might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerard Spoelberch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernt Franckx ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacq Sterckmans might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jannick Rutgeerts.
