The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaud De Vleeschauwer in the 2nd minute of play forced Eegem's goalkeeper Bruno Thielens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 minutes, Goffrey Van Maestricht mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botswana Meat Commission and the Eegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Botswana Meat Commission was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Goffrey Van Maestricht to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Botswana Meat Commission's Jan-Joost Van Steen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Thielens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Botswana Meat Commission's zone, Niel Segers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Decremer came out of the goal and Niel Segers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Niel Segers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Decremer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luukas Humbelets hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Arnaud De Vleeschauwer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Thielens having to interfere. Botswana Meat Commission's William Decremer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niel Segers in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes, Botswana Meat Commission's Reinaert Ruelens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Thielens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Botswana Meat Commission reached it. Arnaud De Vleeschauwer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Thielens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Joost Van Steen in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Botswana Meat Commission booed when Eegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaud De Vleeschauwer took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Thielens. Bruno Thielens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bruno Thielens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaud De Vleeschauwer's shot from short distance in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Joost Van Steen was the one to do the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Eegem's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Joost Van Steen came free, but Bruno Thielens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaud De Vleeschauwers short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Bruno Thielens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Botswana Meat Commission's William Decremer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niel Segers in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes in the game, Jan-Joost Van Steen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bruno Thielens having to interfere. During the 81st minute of the match Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Eegem getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Joost Van Steen in the 83rd minute of play forced Eegem's goalkeeper Bruno Thielens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaud De Vleeschauwer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Thielens having to interfere. Andre Caers kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Christoph De Cock led 88 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Eegem's Bruno Thielens became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. Arnaud De Vleeschauwer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Botswana Meat Commission's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Adam De kaiser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. William Decremer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Botswana Meat Commission eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
