Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bruno Hoes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Thielens having to interfere. Kenney Heijligem came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Eegem's Andre Caers. But to his dismay, Andre Caers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Hoes got free with Bruno Thielens in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Adam De kaiser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam De kaiser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavian Styles struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Bruno Thielens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brye. Brye's Bruno Hoes got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Hoes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Thielens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niel Segers in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenney Heijligem saved Brye from getting behind. Kenney Heijligem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam De kaiser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Eegem were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niel Segers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Octavian Styles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brye and the Eegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Brye getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Octavian Styles hit a great ball. When Niel Segers fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eegem's protests and gave Niel Segers a yellow card for diving instead. Niel Segers hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Adam De kaiser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Brye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Hoes to maneuver through the defense. Brye's Kenney Heijligem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niel Segers in the 76th minute of play. Mathijs Sustens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Niel Segers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Niel Segers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenney Heijligem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 96 played minutes Eegem got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh. 97 minutes into the match, Eegem's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Hoes came free, but Bruno Thielens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Eegem echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Brye had held the ball for most of the match.
