Pascal Neys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yoeri Jennis struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Marten Goegebeur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forza Wontergem. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ruben Baumans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheffield Tuesday's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Baumans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Werner Van Meerbeec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascal Neys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marten Goegebeur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Marten Goegebeur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascal Neys in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Forza Wontergem got a corner. Sheffield Tuesday's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joeri Simons ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joeri Simons almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sheffield Tuesday's Marten Goegebeur did a great save. A collision led to Sheffield Tuesday getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Floris Nys hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregory Vloebergh during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gregory Vloebergh hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Joeri Simons, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Marten Goegebeur successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Werner Van Meerbeec came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Sheffield Tuesday's Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe. But to his dismay, Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pascal Neys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marten Goegebeur having to interfere. Pascal Neys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sheffield Tuesday's Jannic Weygaers got a free kick in the 40th minute. Forza Wontergem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joeri Simons in the 42nd minute. Frederick Mesmakers made a great header on Forza Wontergem's corner, it was just that Sheffield Tuesday's Marten Goegebeur managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Forza Wontergem's Xander Van Bostraeten got a free kick in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Forza Wontergem's Werner Van Meerbeec got control of the ball when Ruben Baumans tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruben Baumans got free with Werner Van Meerbeec in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marten Goegebeur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yoeri Jennis went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the match, Sheffield Tuesday's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Neys came free, but Marten Goegebeur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marten Goegebeur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoeri Jennis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sheffield Tuesday booed when Forza Wontergem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Van Den Abeele didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sheffield Tuesday's zone, Adam Matthieu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marten Goegebeur came out of the goal and Adam Matthieu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Werner Van Meerbeec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute Pascal Neys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marten Goegebeur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marten Goegebeur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascal Neys went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Forza Wontergem getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Frederick Mesmakers hit a great ball. When Ruben Baumans came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Sheffield Tuesday fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Baumans couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Sheffield Tuesday:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Forza Wontergem:s goal. Joeri Simons shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 95 minutes, Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheffield Tuesday's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Forza Wontergem getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Matthew Cerneels hit a great ball. In the 99th minute, Philippe-Arnaud Krabbe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Forza Wontergem fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sheffield Tuesday had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
