When Timmy Cuveliers fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RSC Bredene's protests and gave Timmy Cuveliers a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RSC Bredene getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Timmy Cuveliers hit a great ball. Philipp Vinckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richmond Pieters in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Richmond Pieters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nala heeft honger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richmond Pieters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philipp Vinckx came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Nala heeft honger's Richmond Pieters. But to his dismay, Richmond Pieters quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Philipp Vinckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pieter Antheunis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Richmond Pieters ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philipp Vinckx was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 31st match minute, RSC Bredene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibau De Smedt to maneuver through the defense. Roy Pietersma took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philipp Vinckx. RSC Bredene's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Richmond Pieters scored 0-5 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Philipp Vinckx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anthoon Blomme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philipp Vinckx having to interfere. Philipp Vinckx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richmond Pieters's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Philipp Vinckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Van De Gehuchte, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes of play, Nala heeft honger's Richmond Pieters made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philipp Vinckx was left in no man's land by his defense there! Philipp Vinckx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthoon Blomme went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnout Heremans was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richmond Pieters got free with Philipp Vinckx in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Nala heeft honger's Philipp Vinckx threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stephen Van De Gehuchte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Richmond Pieters's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Philipp Vinckx skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Richmond Pieters came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Philipp Vinckx could save by the left post. Richmond Pieters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Philipp Vinckx made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Richmond Pieters kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Philipp Vinckx. That made the score 0-8 in the 77 minute of play. With a little luck, RSC Bredene's Philipp Vinckx got control of the ball when Roger Coremans tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute Richmond Pieters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp Vinckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nala heeft honger's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
