In the 17th minute, Gilliam Stuckers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 minutes of play, KV Corbion's Jurgen Cox made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Beets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philipp Vinckx having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, RSC Bredene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basiel Van Meerbeec to maneuver through the defense. If Pieter-Jan Jennis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pieter-Jan Jennis to make the kick off. Arnout Heremans succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter-Jan Jennis in the 58th minute of play forced RSC Bredene's goalkeeper Philipp Vinckx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Arnout Heremans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Raf Borglevens managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Corbion's supporters rose to their feet, but Raf Borglevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philipp Vinckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute Pieter-Jan Jennis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp Vinckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KV Corbion's Pieter-Jan Jennis got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, RSC Bredene's goal looked a bit too open when Pieter-Jan Jennis came free, but Philipp Vinckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Isaac Puttemas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Bredene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Puttemas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. RSC Bredene's Arnout Heremans was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 79th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Pieter-Jan Jennis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91stth minute of the game Jurgen Cox who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RSC Bredene's Philipp Vinckx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pieter-Jan Jennis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pieter-Jan Jennis came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the KV Corbion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pieter-Jan Jennis couldn't finish the play. The KV Corbion manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing RSC Bredene to win.
