Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Terry De Loose took the kick off in the first half of the match. Geordy Vandeput might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herman Lingier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geordy Vandeput ran back to his position shaking his head. When Dan De Wever fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lommelse Azul's protests and gave Dan De Wever a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes FC Lommelse Azul got a freekick which was hit by Dan De Wever. In the 10th minute, Balthazar De Leger made a precise shot to the right of Cederique Koninckx. Hulsters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. FC Lommelse Azul's Dan De Wever got his second yellow card of the match in the 13th minute. The referee ordered Dan De Wever off the ground. Jochen Armentier in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cederique Koninckx, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jochen Armentier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cederique Koninckx having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hulsters's zone, Pierre Rijmenans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cederique Koninckx came out of the goal and Pierre Rijmenans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steven Isebergh kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Nick Van der Veeken made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Xander Hoeybroeck immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, FC Lommelse Azul's Anthony Steurms got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute Jochen Armentier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cederique Koninckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jochen Armentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daevy Koenens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jochen Armentier to make the kick off. If Jochen Armentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Rijmenans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cederique Koninckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geordy Vandeput received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Herman Lingier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Jochen Armentier notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hulsters's Cederique Koninckx. Cederique Koninckx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FC Lommelse Azul booed when Hulsters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Isebergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cederique Koninckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Van Linthoud, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Jochen Armentier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cederique Koninckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Lommelse Azul's Herman Lingier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save FC Lommelse Azul from getting a goal against them. In the 90th play minute Geordy Vandeput came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Herman Lingier. 2-1. In the 94th minute of the game Daevy Koenens made a throw-in which Xander Hoeybroeck played forward. A collision led to FC Lommelse Azul getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gabriel Raeimakers hit a great ball. There was no doubt that FC Lommelse Azul were the better team. FC Lommelse Azul's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
