Spectators: 6741 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bjorn Shamp took the kick off in the first half of the match. Maxim Everts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Van Lent booed when F.C. De Stampers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Everts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amaury Kints sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Steff De Pauw came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Van Lent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steff De Pauw couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, F.C. De Stampers's goal looked a bit too open when Amaury Kints came free, but Matt Van Mellart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Van Lent's Karl Cheepers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjorn Shamp in the 30th minute of play. Romain Geest kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Van Lent's zone, Maxim Everts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Cheepers came out of the goal and Maxim Everts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bjorn Shamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Karl Cheepers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxim Everts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Karl Cheepers made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Bjorn Shamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Cheepers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bjorn Shamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Cheepers having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amaury Kints was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Van Lent's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Everts came free, but Karl Cheepers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, one of F.C. De Stampers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Philip Shamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romain Geest kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Philip Shamp fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. De Stampers's protests and gave Philip Shamp a yellow card for diving instead. Philip Shamp hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Steff De Pauw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Matt Van Mellart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Steff De Pauw recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matt Van Mellart. Steff De Pauw showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Steff De Pauw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Van Lent's supporters rose to their feet, but Steff De Pauw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matt Van Mellart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the game, Amaury Kints recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matt Van Mellart. Amaury Kints showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 86 minutes into the game, Maxim Everts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Karl Cheepers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, Van Lent's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Everts came free, but Karl Cheepers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. De Stampers's zone, Steff De Pauw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matt Van Mellart came out of the goal and Steff De Pauw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Van Lent supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Van Lent would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
