The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mattijs Van Beersel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harrie Gelens having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, RFC Blaasveld's goal looked a bit too open when Mattijs Van Beersel came free, but Harrie Gelens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oostakker's Jeoffrey Frans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Terhorst in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Sander Strupar could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Jeoffrey Frans however easily saved by the left post. Harrie Gelens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacky Petris, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Mattijs Van Beersel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harrie Gelens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacky Petris in the 26th minute of play forced RFC Blaasveld's goalkeeper Harrie Gelens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Terhorst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeoffrey Frans having to interfere. Mattijs Van Beersel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jacky Petris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harrie Gelens was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Harrie Gelens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacky Petris's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Terhorst was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Oostakker defense, Hugo De Kijser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeoffrey Frans. The Oostakker fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeoffrey Frans should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geert-Jan Sterckmans during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jacky Petris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ivo Roscams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Jean Van Gysel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, RFC Blaasveld's Hugo De Kijser got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 98th minute, Daniel Terhorst made a precise shot to the right of Jeoffrey Frans. Oostakker's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. RFC Blaasveld's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
