AFC Avennes's Rein Schrevens couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for KV Hanset. Brecht Van Meel might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brend Loots. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brecht Van Meel ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thys Van Hespen in the 9th minute of play forced AFC Avennes's goalkeeper Brend Loots to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Janes Abrams during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 11 minutes into the game, Thys Van Hespen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV Hanset's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Avennes the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Edmond van Haghten managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Avennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmond van Haghten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arno Hombroeckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to KV Hanset getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Steff Asselberghs hit a great ball. The supporters of AFC Avennes booed when KV Hanset was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Haemers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rein Schrevens was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nils Hostens lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 21 minutes into the game, one of KV Hanset:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave AFC Avennes a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rein Schrevens, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KV Hanset's Arno Hombroeckx. 0-1. Thys Van Hespen kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Edmond van Haghten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Hanset's Arno Hombroeckx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Andris De Ryck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 45 minutes into the match, KV Hanset's goal looked a bit too open when Andris De Ryck came free, but Arno Hombroeckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmond van Haghten was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to KV Hanset getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jeffery Van Geertruyden hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Rein Schrevens managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Avennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Rein Schrevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arno Hombroeckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andris De Ryck came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arno Hombroeckx could save by the left post. In the 63rd minute of the match Jeffery Van Geertruyden shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brend Loots showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Janes Abrams was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, AFC Avennes's Janes Abrams got a free kick in the 65th minute. Andris De Ryck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brecht Van Meel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arno Hombroeckx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andris De Ryck in the 83rd minute. Andris De Ryck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arno Hombroeckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Wout Loots managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Avennes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wout Loots was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of KV Hanset:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFC Avennes:s goal. When the match had been going on for 89 minutes, AFC Avennes's Rein Schrevens got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arno Hombroeckx. Dreas Van Doren struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Arno Hombroeckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Avennes. Brecht Van Meel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brend Loots having to interfere.
