Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gabriel Velkeneers kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Funky Belgianz! Frederic Waterloos had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Freek De Prins's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Janes Van Hove was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kruishoutem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Funky Belgianz the free kick. The supporters of Funky Belgianz booed when Kruishoutem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janes Van Hove didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Gabriel Velkeneers made a precise shot to the right of Frederic Waterloos. Funky Belgianz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 17th minute, Funky Belgianz's Bobby Parmentier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Kasper Rix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Coenens in the 23rd minute of play. Bobby Parmentier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kasper Rix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, Funky Belgianz's Sean Coenens made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kasper Rix was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Gabriel Velkeneers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic Waterloos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Senne Polspoel's late challenge caught a Kruishoutem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Senne Polspoel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Funky Belgianz getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Senne Polspoel hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute Janes Van Hove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic Waterloos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent De Raedemaeker struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Kasper Rix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Funky Belgianz. Sean Coenens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kasper Rix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Senne Polspoel went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.
In the 54th minute, Roderik Dekeyser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bobby Parmentier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kasper Rix came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Funky Belgianz's Sean Coenens. But to his dismay, Sean Coenens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 66th minute, Yanniek Leenpoels left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kruishoutem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Gabriel Velkeneers took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Frederic Waterloos to make any attempt to save it. If Bobby Parmentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Vincent De Raedemaeker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kasper Rix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Senne Polspoel in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match, Gabriel Velkeneers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frederic Waterloos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kasper Rix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Coenens in the 83rd minute of play. When Senne Polspoel came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Funky Belgianz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Senne Polspoel couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Sean Coenens notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Kruishoutem's Kasper Rix. Kasper Rix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Kruishoutem's Philippe-Arnaud Weggers got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Bobby Parmentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent De Raedemaeker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kasper Rix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Vincent De Raedemaeker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Funky Belgianz's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent De Raedemaeker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kasper Rix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kruishoutem players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Funky Belgianz.
