Stef Van Collenborgh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Flocquier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Noel Vandamme received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frederic Waterloos came out and tried to block the shot, but Noel Vandamme slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Bobby Parmentier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Luke Flocquier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luke Flocquier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stef Van Collenborgh went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Luke Flocquier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Coenens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Senne Polspoel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Funky Belgianz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Senne Polspoel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stef Van Collenborgh might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luke Flocquier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stef Van Collenborgh ran back to his position shaking his head. Luke Flocquier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stef Van Collenborgh's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Bobby Parmentier struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Luke Flocquier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Funky Belgianz. 43 minutes into the game, Funky Belgianz's Sean Coenens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luke Flocquier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 46th match minute, Harelbeke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic De Mesemaekre to maneuver through the defense. Luke Flocquier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Coenens, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. A collision led to Funky Belgianz getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Senne Polspoel hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The wind increased when Stef Van Collenborgh made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Luke Flocquier managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Funky Belgianz's Stef Van Collenborgh fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 62 played minutes Funky Belgianz got a freekick which was hit by Jannis Van Gele. In the 65th minute Kevin Jespers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic Waterloos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sean Coenens was extremely unlucky when he, in the 68th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some careless play in the Harelbeke defense, Stef Van Collenborgh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luke Flocquier. The Harelbeke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luke Flocquier should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Noel Vandamme notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Funky Belgianz's Frederic Waterloos. Frederic Waterloos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frederic Waterloos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Jespers in the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jannis Van Gele during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Funky Belgianz's Stef Van Collenborgh got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Funky Belgianz's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
