Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Kruishoutem's Gabriel Velkeneers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Gabriel Velkeneers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredrik Verheyden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Kasper Rix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredrik Verheyden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasper Rix having to interfere. After some careless play in the Kruishoutem defense, Fredrik Verheyden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kasper Rix. The Kruishoutem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kasper Rix should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels De Malier in the 22nd minute of play forced Kruishoutem's goalkeeper Kasper Rix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasper Rix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niels De Malier in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Jeoffrey La Rose sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kasper Rix skillfully saved the ball. Kasper Rix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Verheyden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Philippe-Arnaud Weggers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Geselle City's Tibo Van Caubergen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save FC Geselle City from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gabriel Velkeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kruishoutem's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Velkeneers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tibo Van Caubergen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Geselle City's goalkeeper Tibo Van Caubergen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Geselle City's zone, Yanniek Leenpoels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tibo Van Caubergen came out of the goal and Yanniek Leenpoels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jannic Hostens during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jannic Hostens hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Gabriel Velkeneers struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Tibo Van Caubergen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kruishoutem. In the 59th minute Yanniek Leenpoels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tibo Van Caubergen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibo Van Caubergen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Velkeneers's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Niels De Malier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kruishoutem getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Roderik Dekeyser hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kruishoutem's zone, Fredrik Verheyden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasper Rix came out of the goal and Fredrik Verheyden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kruishoutem's Kasper Rix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Kruishoutem from getting a goal against them. Benny Rutgeerts charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benny Rutgeerts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, one of FC Geselle City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Geselle City. FC Geselle City:s Tibo Van Caubergen showed great skill when he stopped Freek De Prins:s penalty. 79 minutes into the game, Stanny Raeijmaeckers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Geselle City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kruishoutem the free kick. After 79 played minutes FC Geselle City got a freekick which was hit by Stanny Raeijmaeckers. Tibo Van Caubergen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Velkeneers in the 84th minute of play. Niels De Malier struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Kasper Rix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Geselle City. Tibo Van Caubergen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Velkeneers, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Christoph Van Landewijck charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christoph Van Landewijck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Yanniek Leenpoels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tibo Van Caubergen came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Kruishoutem's Gabriel Velkeneers. But to his dismay, Gabriel Velkeneers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
