A wasted opportunity for Zeldonk. 42 minutes into the match, Joonatan Van Gertsuyden notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Fc Jadi's Goffrey De Mey. Goffrey De Mey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joonatan Van Gertsuyden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Goffrey De Mey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dieter Claevers made a kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zeldonk's goalkeeper Joost Wigers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Joonatan Van Gertsuyden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Goffrey De Mey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieter Claevers in the 60th minute of play. Roger Gijselinkx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goffrey De Mey having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Jadi's zone, Joonatan Van Gertsuyden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Goffrey De Mey came out of the goal and Joonatan Van Gertsuyden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeldonk's Dieter Claevers got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fc Jadi's Goffrey De Mey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joonatan Van Gertsuyden in the 71st minute of play. Goffrey De Mey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joonatan Van Gertsuyden in the 74th minute of play. Joonatan Van Gertsuyden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goffrey De Mey having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Zeldonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Gijselinkx to maneuver through the defense. Jochen Van Haerschot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeldonk's Joost Wigers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Zeldonk from getting a goal against them. There was no doubt that Zeldonk were the better team. Zeldonk's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
