Spectators: 7587 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 151) Renzo Dekkers made the kick off and thus started the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renzo Dekkers in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franky Goethals prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Hendrik Van Herck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sylvan de Pelsmaekers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Ol Dirty Bastards's Matias de Neutere dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 24 minutes, Leopold Tuerlinckx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ol Dirty Bastards and the FS Gent players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Ol Dirty Bastards was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopold Tuerlinckx to maneuver through the defense. Janes Kempenaers kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. FS Gent's Philip Symons got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FS Gent's Philip Symons got a free kick in the 40th minute. Franky Goethals made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renzo Dekkers in the 44th minute of play. Willem-Jan Laermans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Janes Kempenaers in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st match minute, FS Gent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alphonse Degens to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Renzo Dekkers managed to get in a good position for a shot. FS Gent's supporters rose to their feet, but Renzo Dekkers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franky Goethals breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute, Jacque Huijgens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FS Gent's Renzo Dekkers got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Renzo Dekkers rounded Ol Dirty Bastards's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Renzo Dekkers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willem-Jan Laermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janes Kempenaers in the 79th minute of the match. The supporters of FS Gent booed when Ol Dirty Bastards was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natan Helssen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Renzo Dekkers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renzo Dekkers might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franky Goethals. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renzo Dekkers ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
