Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daan Biermans kicked off to start the match. Daan Biermans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel De Graef came out and tried to block the shot, but Daan Biermans slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, SK Erquennes's Tom Van Buyten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruud Van Haerschot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Van Buyten in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruud Van Haerschot saved SC Natrium from getting behind. Ruud Van Haerschot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Van Buyten in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daan Biermans in the 20th minute of play forced SK Erquennes's goalkeeper Manuel De Graef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Tom Van Buyten managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Erquennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Van Buyten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruud Van Haerschot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jan-Pieter Van Eijcke fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Natrium's protests and gave Jan-Pieter Van Eijcke a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 minutes, Andre Goons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Natrium and the SK Erquennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Andre Goons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeffery Reijniers, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ruud Van Haerschot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remco Van Hove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tom Van Buyten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelis Van Eijcke hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cornelis Van Eijcke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Daan Biermans came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the SC Natrium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daan Biermans couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, SC Natrium's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelis Van Eijcke came free, but Ruud Van Haerschot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelis Van Eijcke struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ruud Van Haerschot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Erquennes. After 60 played minutes SK Erquennes got a freekick which was hit by Tom Van Buyten. Manuel De Graef didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wesley van Eijnde went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 67 minutes into the match, SC Natrium's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelis Van Eijcke came free, but Ruud Van Haerschot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes SC Natrium got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Van Aken. SK Erquennes's Tom Van Buyten got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Cornelis Van Eijcke got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 73 played minutes Cornelis Van Eijcke could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-2 into the left cross. In the 79th minute, Tom Van Buyten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Erquennes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 83 minutes in the game, Cornelis Van Eijcke fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ruud Van Haerschot having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Tom Van Buyten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornelis Van Eijcke in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruud Van Haerschot saved SC Natrium from getting behind. Tom Van Buyten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Ruud Van Haerschot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. SC Natrium's Andre Goons got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Andre Goons off the ground. After 89 played minutes SC Natrium got a freekick which was hit by Andre Goons. After some careless play in the SC Natrium defense, Tom Van Buyten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruud Van Haerschot. The SC Natrium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruud Van Haerschot should have stopped the shot. If Cornelis Van Eijcke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
