After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Benne Raymaekers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zemst's supporters rose to their feet, but Benne Raymaekers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Achilles Justus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 minutes, Lorenzo De Becker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DF G-groen-N and the Zemst players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes DF G-groen-N got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo De Becker. Benne Raymaekers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Achilles Justus having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, DF G-groen-N's goal looked a bit too open when Benne Raymaekers came free, but Achilles Justus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joerie Hairpoel to make the kick off. With his leg Achilles Justus managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Zemst's Benne Raymaekers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 72nd minute, Yvan Dauwen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zemst's Dany-Adams Van Glabeeke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Van Eeckhout in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 minutes of play Zemst's Yvan Dauwen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 75th minute, Yvan Dauwen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gertjan Herremans during the 76th minute.
