Jeremie Verheijd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wout Ooms in the 10th minute of play. Wout Ooms scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremie Verheijd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Fred De Middeleer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bjorn Van Geertruyen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fred De Middeleer in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, FC Golden Storm's Fred De Middeleer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bjorn Van Geertruyen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, FC Golden Storm's Geoffrey Dhondt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bjorn Van Geertruyen. Bjorn Van Geertruyen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 46th minute Arnoud De Wortelaer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremie Verheijd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 48 played minutes, FC Golden Storm's Lars Abrams shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bjorn Van Geertruyen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Golden Storm reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wout Ooms was the one to do the kick off. FC Golden Storm's Jeremie Verheijd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jilian Isemborgh in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, FC Golden Storm's Geoffrey Dhondt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bjorn Van Geertruyen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FC Golden Storm getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Richy Vandamme hit a great ball. Arnoud De Wortelaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jeremie Verheijd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Golden Storm's goalkeeper Jeremie Verheijd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wout Ooms in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremie Verheijd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the match, RG Raggers's goal looked a bit too open when Fred De Middeleer came free, but Bjorn Van Geertruyen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bjorn Van Geertruyen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geoffrey Dhondt's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Geoffrey Dhondt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bjorn Van Geertruyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoffrey Dhondt in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Golden Storm's Werner Cempeners got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, FC Golden Storm's goalkeeper Jeremie Verheijd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoud De Wortelaer. If Arnoud De Wortelaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wout Ooms sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Decloedt kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Fred De Middeleer managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Golden Storm's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred De Middeleer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bjorn Van Geertruyen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
