Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gaetan Acke started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jacq Slegers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Van Der Elst, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Wauveringen's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Van Der Elst came free, but Jacq Slegers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Wauveringen getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Hendrik-Jan Vermeiren hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Guust Reuters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Laporte got free with Jacq Slegers in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute Denis Van Der Elst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacq Slegers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Vlasmeer's Denis Van Der Elst nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacq Slegers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Vlasmeer's Denis Van Der Elst sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacq Slegers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Van Der Elst in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacq Slegers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacq Slegers made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Miguel Laporte sent off a good shot on target. If Denis Van Der Elst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miguel Laporte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacq Slegers having to interfere. Denis Van Der Elst recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Miguel Laporte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaetan Acke in the 42nd minute of play forced Vlasmeer's goalkeeper Frits Van Gorp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 50th minute of the match Vlasmeer got a corner. Wauveringen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kevin Demeulemeester ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Vlasmeer's Kevin Demeulemeester to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacq Slegers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Denis Van Der Elst made the kick off in the second half. Wauveringen's Jacq Slegers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Van Der Elst in the 55th minute of play. If Denis Van Der Elst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Laporte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacq Slegers having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Van Der Elst in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacq Slegers saved Wauveringen from getting behind. Miguel Laporte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Denis Van Der Elst's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacq Slegers was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. When Miguel Laporte came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Vlasmeer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Laporte couldn't finish the play. Hendrik-Jan Vermeiren's late challenge caught a Vlasmeer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hendrik-Jan Vermeiren helped the player get up and apologised. Miguel Laporte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jacq Slegers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hendrik-Jan Vermeiren was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. After 84 played minutes Wauveringen got a freekick which was hit by Hendrik-Jan Vermeiren. Denis Van Der Elst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jacq Slegers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Denis Van Der Elst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vlasmeer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Guust Reuters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vlasmeer's supporters rose to their feet, but Guust Reuters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacq Slegers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Wauveringen's zone, Denis Van Der Elst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacq Slegers came out of the goal and Denis Van Der Elst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Miguel Laporte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Denis Van Der Elst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Vlasmeer players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
