The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Alphonse Van Aerschodt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dany-Adams Godts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, KFC Hoeilaart's goalkeeper Dany-Adams Godts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brend Smets. Alphonse Van Aerschodt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dany-Adams Godts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alphonse Van Aerschodt, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, KFC Hoeilaart's goalkeeper Dany-Adams Godts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brend Smets. Alphonse Van Aerschodt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dany-Adams Godts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Vanrunkelen's Manu Nelleboedske played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roni Delen in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KFC Hoeilaart's Sylvan Coenen got a free kick in the 21st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Vanrunkelen's Robbrecht Hoeybroeck tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Brend Smets got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 30 played minutes KFC Hoeilaart got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Simon Laermans. A collision led to KFC Hoeilaart getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jan-Simon Laermans hit a great ball. Alphonse Van Aerschodt succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. KFC Hoeilaart's Dany-Adams Godts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alphonse Van Aerschodt in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabien Van Deuren was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Hoeilaart's zone, Brend Smets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dany-Adams Godts came out of the goal and Brend Smets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alphonse Van Aerschodt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dany-Adams Godts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dany-Adams Godts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brend Smets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Brend Smets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabien Van Deuren in the 69th minute of play forced Vanrunkelen's goalkeeper Manu Nelleboedske to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Hoeilaart's Dany-Adams Godts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alphonse Van Aerschodt in the 70th minute of play. Dany-Adams Godts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Smets in the 72nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Alphonse Van Aerschodt sped through KFC Hoeilaart's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dany-Adams Godts. Roni Delen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Manu Nelleboedske made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alphonse Van Aerschodt in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dany-Adams Godts saved KFC Hoeilaart from getting behind. Brend Smets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vanrunkelen's Dirk Van Boeckost got a free kick in the 91st minute.
