Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ernest Decremer kicked off to start the match. In the 4th match minute, 8-tiehot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dolf Van der Willeghem to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Mattias Cuppens could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Lenny Seveneijns however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Valcke in the 9th minute of play forced Java's goalkeeper Bernd Emeleers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Dolf Van der Willeghem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ernest Decremer sped through 8-tiehot's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lenny Seveneijns. Ernest Decremer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, 8-tiehot's Lenny Seveneijns got control of the ball when Mattias Cuppens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lander Rutgeerts's late challenge caught a 8-tiehot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lander Rutgeerts helped the player get up and apologised. Stein Van Laer placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 8-tiehot's Lenny Seveneijns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Decremer in the 34th minute of play. When Ernest Decremer came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Java fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Decremer couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Ernest Decremer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny Seveneijns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenny Seveneijns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stein Van Laer, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dolf Van der Willeghem was the one to do the kick off. Lenny Seveneijns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Decremer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mattias Cuppens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenny Seveneijns having to interfere. Lenny Seveneijns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Decremer in the 61st minute of the match. Lenny Seveneijns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Cuppens's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind 8-tiehot's goalkeeper Lenny Seveneijns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lenny Seveneijns came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Java's Mattias Cuppens. But to his dismay, Mattias Cuppens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ernest Decremer hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Lenny Seveneijns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Cuppens in the 73rd minute of play. If Ernest Decremer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Java's Ernest Decremer in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 8-tiehot's goalie prevented a goal. Ernest Decremer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernest Decremer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ernest Decremer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind 8-tiehot's goalkeeper Lenny Seveneijns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Java players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
