After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Richmond Everts managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Schellebelle's supporters rose to their feet, but Richmond Everts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Sannen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Qwinten Theys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Raymond Sannen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Richmond Everts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raymond Sannen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. SC Schellebelle's Sebbe Jacobs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save SC Schellebelle from getting a goal against them. Raymond Sannen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qwinten Theys in the 19th minute of the match. With a little luck, SC Schellebelle's Sebbe Jacobs got control of the ball when Vicente Van Achter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebbe Jacobs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Van Achter in the 27th minute. Goetegem's Raymond Sannen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richmond Everts in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Goetegem's zone, Richmond Everts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Sannen came out of the goal and Richmond Everts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richmond Everts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Sannen having to interfere. Richmond Everts took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raymond Sannen. Raymond Sannen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 46th minute Edmond Gielens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebbe Jacobs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantijn Koninkx took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sebbe Jacobs. SC Schellebelle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richmond Everts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, SC Schellebelle's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Gielens came free, but Sebbe Jacobs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Bob Dejonghe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Schellebelle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goetegem the free kick. The supporters of Goetegem booed when SC Schellebelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Dejonghe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmond Gielens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Gielens in the 88th minute of play forced SC Schellebelle's goalkeeper Sebbe Jacobs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Van Achter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebbe Jacobs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmond Gielens in the 90th minute of the match. The Goetegem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Schellebelle's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Schellebelle.
