Sander Westelinx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Netels, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Pierre-Alexandre Vercasteren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jack Black's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Green Tigers the free kick. Pierre-Alexandre Vercasteren kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Jamie Ingelborgh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jelle Verhoeven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Maes having to interfere. Pierre-Alexandre Vercasteren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rens Maes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glen De Roeck to make the kick off. Regis Scheppers hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in The Green Tigers's zone, Jelle Verhoeven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rens Maes came out of the goal and Jelle Verhoeven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daan Cox hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, The Green Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Glen De Roeck came free, but Rens Maes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sander Westelinx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Netels in the 66th minute of play. Sander Westelinx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamie Ingelborgh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jelle Verhoeven in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rens Maes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Glen De Roeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. Jack Black's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
