Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ive Loozen took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Averbode's Maurice Leemans got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Engelbeek's Bernd Van Riel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nico Vandeput showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ive Loozen, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When Wes Van Laeck came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Engelbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wes Van Laeck couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Ive Loozen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engelbeek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ive Loozen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nico Vandeput tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the AFC Averbode defense, Wes Van Laeck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nico Vandeput. The AFC Averbode fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nico Vandeput should have stopped the shot. After 28 played minutes AFC Averbode got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Struijf. In the 33rd minute, Cederik De Potter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cederik De Potter might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waud Bossuyt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cederik De Potter ran back to his position shaking his head. Cederik De Potter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Waud Bossuyt throw himself and got hold of the ball when Cederik De Potter in the 45thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With an all-out effort, AFC Averbode's Waud Bossuyt threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cederik De Potter, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 47 minutes into the match, Engelbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Verengen came free, but Waud Bossuyt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cederik De Potter to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Cederik De Potter made a precise shot to the right of Waud Bossuyt. Engelbeek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederik De Potter in the 72nd minute of play forced Engelbeek's goalkeeper Waud Bossuyt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Joris Vanden Berghe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Engelbeek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Averbode the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Engelbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joris Vanden Berghe to maneuver through the defense. Cederik De Potter struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Waud Bossuyt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cederik De Potter's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Averbode's zone, Wes Van Laeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Vandeput came out of the goal and Wes Van Laeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
