After 33 minutes, Senne Vrijdags mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jack Black and the Goetegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jack Black fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! When Edmond Gielens came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Goetegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmond Gielens couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Glen De Roeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raymond Sannen came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jack Black's Glen De Roeck. But to his dismay, Glen De Roeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

If Vicente Van Achter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Jack Black getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Claude Loosen hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Edmond Gielens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jack Black's Sander Westelinx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Gielens in the 61st minute of play. Dyllan Suteweij, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 79th match minute, Goetegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmond Gielens to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Vicente Van Achter notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Jack Black's Sander Westelinx. Sander Westelinx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee ignored Jack Black's protests and gave Pierre-Alexandre Vercasteren a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Goetegem booed when Jack Black was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Alexandre Vercasteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Black's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
