The KFC Snephoek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Francois Goovaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Battice's goalkeeper Wout Van Dijck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francois Goovaerts. If Frank Sterckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Frank Sterckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Battice's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sterckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willem Bogaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francois Goovaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wout Van Dijck having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Frank Sterckx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Willem Bogaerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Battice were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sterckx was the one to do the kick off. Frank Sterckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Willem Bogaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, KFC Snephoek's Guilian Van Den Haecke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wout Van Dijck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 63rd minute, KFC Snephoek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frank Sterckx fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Francois Goovaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 71 minutes, Guilian Van Den Haecke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Snephoek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilian Van Den Haecke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Francois Goovaerts came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the KFC Snephoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francois Goovaerts couldn't finish the play. Francois Goovaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wout Van Dijck having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Arnold Cerneels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wout Van Dijck. Battice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnold Cerneels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Willem Bogaerts made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Gustave Verelst sent off a good shot on target. Frank Sterckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Sterckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willem Bogaerts having to interfere. Remi de Nijs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francois Goovaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guilian Van Den Haecke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wout Van Dijck having to interfere. Battice's Wout Van Dijck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francois Goovaerts in the 95th minute of play.
