Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marc Herremans made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Battice's Wout Van Dijck got control of the ball when Guy Wijnrijx tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute, Guy Wijnrijx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vielsalm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 21st minute of the match, Marc Herremans tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wout Van Dijck saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Frank Sterckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter-Jan Van Acker having to interfere. If Marc Herremans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes Battice got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Denturck. Wout Van Dijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Herremans in the 32nd minute of the match. Wout Van Dijck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guy Wijnrijx in the 37th minute. Wout Van Dijck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Herremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Herremans in the 46th minute of play forced Battice's goalkeeper Wout Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vielsalm's Giovanni Van Campenhout got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sterckx to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Frank Sterckx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Battice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sterckx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guy Wijnrijx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wout Van Dijck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Battice's zone, Guy Wijnrijx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wout Van Dijck came out of the goal and Guy Wijnrijx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wout Van Dijck came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Vielsalm's Guy Wijnrijx. But to his dismay, Guy Wijnrijx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Marc Herremans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vielsalm's Guy Wijnrijx got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frits Vissenaeken in the 89th minute of play forced Battice's goalkeeper Wout Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94thth minute of the game Marc Herremans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Battice's Wout Van Dijck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vielsalm's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
