An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Buelens in the 7th minute of play forced FC Draconia 2's goalkeeper Richey Englebert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Draconia 2's Richey Englebert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk Buelens in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute, William Stuyck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, SK Oteppe's Claus Van Acker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richey Englebert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The SK Oteppe fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when SK Oteppe's Claus Van Acker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute, Tibau Neys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guust Van Meel kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A hard shot 27 in the game by Manu Van Lint from a close distance when the talented Christian Rummens managed to make a qualified save. SK Oteppe's players were relieved. Guust Van Meel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Richey Englebert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richey Englebert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Van Acker in the 35th minute of the match. Manu Van Lint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Ivan Colebinders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Henk Buelens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Rummens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordi Smidts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Claus Van Acker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richey Englebert was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Claus Van Acker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richey Englebert having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Henk Buelens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Henk Buelens came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SK Oteppe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henk Buelens couldn't finish the play. SK Oteppe's Arnauld Valckeners shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Richey Englebert but with some difficulty. Jordi Smidts struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Christian Rummens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Draconia 2. The crowd rose to their feet as SK Oteppe's Claus Van Acker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Richey Englebert. That made the score 0-2 after 86 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Draconia 2's zone, Claus Van Acker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richey Englebert came out of the goal and Claus Van Acker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
