When Mark Van Herendael fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Draconia 2's protests and gave Mark Van Herendael a yellow card for diving instead. Mark Van Herendael kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Richey Englebert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Etienne van Bedts in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Draconia 2's Jacques Streels got a free kick in the 30th minute. Jordi Smidts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Van Leempoel having to interfere. Freek Dauwen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richey Englebert having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jordi Smidts was the one to do the kick off. Richey Englebert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etienne van Bedts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lou Van Leempoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordi Smidts in the 75th minute of the match. If Etienne van Bedts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
