Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Claus Van Acker made the kick off which started today's match. HO Wolvertem-Merchtem's Steff Van Boeckost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Van Acker in the 4th minute of play. Claus Van Acker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henk Buelens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Steff Van Boeckost made a huge save. The supporters of SK Oteppe booed when HO Wolvertem-Merchtem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolaas Slaghmeulders didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play, SK Oteppe's Henk Buelens made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steff Van Boeckost was left in no man's land by his defense there! SK Oteppe's Christian Rummens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herve Van den Bergh in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Claus Van Acker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steff Van Boeckost made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Henk Buelens sent off a good shot on target. Guust Van Meel's late challenge caught a HO Wolvertem-Merchtem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guust Van Meel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, SK Oteppe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guust Van Meel to maneuver through the defense. Claus Van Acker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steff Van Boeckost having to interfere. After 27 played minutes HO Wolvertem-Merchtem got a freekick which was hit by Renzo De Maijer. If Guust Van Meel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henk Buelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Henk Buelens put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Steff Van Boeckost. Claus Van Acker received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Steff Van Boeckost came out and tried to block the shot, but Claus Van Acker slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glenn Uytdebroeck made a kick off. Claus Van Acker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Claus Van Acker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steff Van Boeckost was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Steff Van Boeckost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Buelens, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Claus Van Acker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steff Van Boeckost having to make a save. The SK Oteppe fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when SK Oteppe's Claus Van Acker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Herve Van den Bergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Christian Rummens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Henk Buelens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steff Van Boeckost stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claus Van Acker's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Henk Buelens might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steff Van Boeckost. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henk Buelens ran back to his position shaking his head. Henk Buelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steff Van Boeckost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claus Van Acker went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. If Herve Van den Bergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tibau Neys charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tibau Neys the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Herve Van den Bergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SK Oteppe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
