Moerdijk's Franck Calstermans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Moerdijk from getting a goal against them. Daan Van De Wijngaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Franck Calstermans made a huge save. If Luke Van Aerschodt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daan Van De Wijngaert came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Franck Calstermans could save by the left post. After 21 played minutes Moerdijk got a freekick which was hit by Elias Coryn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Weets in the 24th minute of play forced Germinal Beershot's goalkeeper Frans De Wever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vicente Weets came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Moerdijk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Weets couldn't finish the play. Germinal Beershot's Frans De Wever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Thielens in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Germinal Beershot got a freekick which was hit by Joeri vrolix. When Elias Coryn fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moerdijk's protests and gave Elias Coryn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Moerdijk getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Elias Coryn hit a great ball. If Daan Van De Wijngaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Germinal Beershot defense, Kim Thielens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frans De Wever. The Germinal Beershot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frans De Wever should have stopped the shot. Luke Van Aerschodt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franck Calstermans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The Germinal Beershot players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Moerdijk were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luke Van Aerschodt made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Moerdijk's Vicente Weets sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frans De Wever narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Vicente Weets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luke Van Aerschodt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Weetss short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Frans De Wever to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 82 minutes into the match, Moerdijk's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Van Aerschodt came free, but Franck Calstermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Thielens in the 83rd minute of play forced Germinal Beershot's goalkeeper Frans De Wever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorre Van Eijcken's late challenge caught a Moerdijk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorre Van Eijcken helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, one of Germinal Beershot:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Germinal Beershot. Joachim Oosters walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Frans De Wever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Thielens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daan Van De Wijngaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franck Calstermans having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Moerdijk's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Van Aerschodt came free, but Franck Calstermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
