When Niels Docx fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC smokers's protests and gave Niels Docx a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Niels Docx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Peter-Jan De Hondt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the game, FC smokers's Bart-Jan Goddez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Deman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bart-Jan Goddez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Deman having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Conrad Van Nel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Deman came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by FC smokers's Conrad Van Nel. But to his dismay, Conrad Van Nel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 23 played minutes FC Betelgeuse got a freekick which was hit by Josef De Muysere. 27 minutes into the match, Bart-Jan Goddez notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Betelgeuse's Oscar Deman. Oscar Deman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Quentin Struyf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charl Le Lion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Gaetan Belmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niels Docx kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Peter-Jan De Hondt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quentin Struyf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charl Le Lion in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Matteo Enfant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC smokers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Betelgeuse the free kick. After 42 played minutes FC smokers got a freekick which was hit by Matteo Enfant. Quentin Struyf acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wim Maertens. 46 minutes into the match, FC smokers's Conrad Van Nel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Deman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emiel Van Den Eynden charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiel Van Den Eynden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The FC Betelgeuse players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC smokers were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bart-Jan Goddez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes FC smokers got a freekick which was hit by Georges Baert. After 54 minutes of play, FC Betelgeuse's Charl Le Lion made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quentin Struyf was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oscar Deman made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Conrad Van Nel sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Conrad Van Nel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC smokers's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrad Van Nel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Deman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the match, FC smokers's goal looked a bit too open when Charl Le Lion came free, but Quentin Struyf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC smokers getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Francois Henrix hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC smokers's zone, Peter-Jan De Hondt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quentin Struyf came out of the goal and Peter-Jan De Hondt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC smokers getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jaspar Van Leemputten hit a great ball. Jaspar Van Leemputten kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, FC smokers's goal looked a bit too open when Charl Le Lion came free, but Quentin Struyf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
