Spectators: 6717 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) KV Mechelen's Kevin Blommaert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrad Van Nel in the 6th minute of play. Quentin Struyf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolf Van den Panhuizen in the 9th minute. Adolf Van den Panhuizen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Quentin Struyf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20thth minute of the game Bart-Jan Goddez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Mechelen's Kevin Blommaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Gill Cesters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, FC smokers's goal looked a bit too open when Gill Cesters came free, but Quentin Struyf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolf Van den Panhuizen got free with Quentin Struyf in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute of the match Timy Reijckmans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quentin Struyf showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Matteo Enfant was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bart-Jan Goddez to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Jaspar Van Leemputten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC smokers and the KV Mechelen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes FC smokers got a freekick which was hit by Jaspar Van Leemputten. Bart-Jan Goddez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrad Van Nel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrad Van Nel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Blommaert having to interfere. Gill Cesters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quentin Struyf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC smokers's zone, Adolf Van den Panhuizen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quentin Struyf came out of the goal and Adolf Van den Panhuizen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
