Tibaut Schol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Blommaert having to interfere. Tibaut Schol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kevin Blommaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9thth minute of the game Mattheo Van den Berch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Mechelen's Kevin Blommaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Mattheo Van den Berch made a precise shot to the right of Kevin Blommaert. KV Mechelen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. KV Mechelen's Kevin Blommaert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattheo Van den Berch in the 20th minute of play. After 24 minutes, Tibaut Schol made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. KV Mechelen's Kevin Blommaert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lennert Spoelberch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gill Cesters in the 27th minute of play. When Bernt Blomme fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaux-Et-Borset's protests and gave Bernt Blomme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Bernt Blomme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gill Cesters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vaux-Et-Borset's Lennert Spoelberch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Tibaut Schol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Blommaert. KV Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tibaut Schol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mattheo Van den Berch in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Blommaert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 47 minutes into the match, KV Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Tibaut Schol came free, but Kevin Blommaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th match minute, Vaux-Et-Borset was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibaut Schol to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Blommaert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tibaut Schol in the 63rd minute. Kevin Blommaert was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Mattheo Van den Berch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mattheo Van den Berch really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. If Tibaut Schol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Mattheo Van den Berch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kevin Blommaert. The goal made the score 1-6. Tibaut Schol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lennert Spoelberch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gill Cesters in the 89th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Tibaut Schol took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Kevin Blommaert to make any attempt to save it. Vaux-Et-Borset played a much better game than KV Mechelen and deserved their victory. The KV Mechelen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
