In the 28th minute Mattheo Van den Berch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilles Jannis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SK Oombergen's Dimitry Koppen got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Vaux-Et-Borset getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cederic Beaufort hit a great ball. When Dimitry Koppen came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the SK Oombergen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimitry Koppen couldn't finish the play. The corner ended in Gery De Maerschalckx almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vaux-Et-Borset's Lennert Spoelberch did a great save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The Lennert Spoelberch was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gill Van der Veeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennert Spoelberch having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vaux-Et-Borset's Chris-George Goebelens got a free kick in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the Vaux-Et-Borset defense, Gill Van der Veeren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lennert Spoelberch. The Vaux-Et-Borset fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lennert Spoelberch should have stopped the shot.
