Mattias Acke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Acke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diederick Pelleman in the 12th minute of play. Mattias Acke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Overloop, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Daan Massenhove kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Qwinten Timmermans managed to get in a good position for a shot. VK Palmvelden's supporters rose to their feet, but Qwinten Timmermans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan De Groote breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, VK Palmvelden's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Overloop came free, but Mattias Acke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Jacob Overloop notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of VK Palmvelden's Mattias Acke. Mattias Acke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of VK Palmvelden:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFC Cosenberg:s goal. The referee gave AFC Cosenberg a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Noel Van Balen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of VK Palmvelden's Mattias Acke. 0-3. Qwinten Timmermans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Stefan De Groote made a huge save. After the first half AFC Cosenberg were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jacob Overloop made the kick off in the second half. Augustijn Vranx's late challenge caught a AFC Cosenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augustijn Vranx helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, VK Palmvelden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustijn Vranx to maneuver through the defense. Qwinten Timmermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AFC Cosenberg's Diederick Pelleman got a free kick in the 74th minute. Mattias Acke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacob Overloop's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. If Diederick Pelleman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thijs Van Cauwenbergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diederick Pelleman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mattias Acke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in VK Palmvelden's zone, Jacob Overloop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Acke came out of the goal and Jacob Overloop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Jacob Overloop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Acke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC Cosenberg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
