When Wouter Van Steen fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LYNX's protests and gave Wouter Van Steen a yellow card for diving instead. Guillaume Provoost sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwen Van Brusselen in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pieter-Maarten Vermeiren saved KFC Waalshoek from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Waalshoek's zone, Wouter Van Steen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pieter-Maarten Vermeiren came out of the goal and Wouter Van Steen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yelle Imbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Daneels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Albert Daneels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albert Daneels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yelle Imbreghts having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, LYNX's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Daneels came free, but Yelle Imbreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillaume Provoost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yelle Imbreghts having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Albert Daneels made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. LYNX's Yelle Imbreghts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwen Van Brusselen made a kick off. The supporters of LYNX booed when KFC Waalshoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Provoost didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pierrot Haentjens during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th minute of the match, Albert Daneels tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yelle Imbreghts saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 70 minutes into the match, LYNX's goalkeeper Yelle Imbreghts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guillaume Provoost. 75 minutes into the match, LYNX's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Daneels came free, but Yelle Imbreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, LYNX's Nils Van der Goten got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Guillaume Provoost managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Waalshoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillaume Provoost was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
