Bart Schooters's late challenge caught a Vaul-Chavanne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bart Schooters helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, kurange le bain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Schooters to maneuver through the defense. When Dave Schockaert came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Vaul-Chavanne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Schockaert couldn't finish the play. Gery Hemelaers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Schockaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jarne Vrins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierre-Alexandre Clement went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vaul-Chavanne's Jarne Vrins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quillian Toussain in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Schockaert in the 44th minute of play forced kurange le bain's goalkeeper Gery Hemelaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Pierre-Alexandre Clement got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vaul-Chavanne's Jarne Vrins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quillian Toussain in the 49th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quillian Toussain to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Timothy Tielemans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vaul-Chavanne's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothy Tielemans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gery Hemelaers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 63 minutes, Bertrand Jennis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaul-Chavanne and the kurange le bain players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pierre-Alexandre Clement was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 67 played minutes Vaul-Chavanne got a freekick which was hit by Bertrand Jennis. Timothy Tielemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Vaul-Chavanne's Timothy Tielemans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gery Hemelaers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Timothy Tielemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gery Hemelaers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Schockaert in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gery Hemelaers saved kurange le bain from getting behind. Gery Hemelaers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Tielemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 88 minutes into the match, kurange le bain's goal looked a bit too open when Timothy Tielemans came free, but Gery Hemelaers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dave Schockaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gery Hemelaers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Schockaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th match minute, kurange le bain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luckas Artois to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Schockaert in the 96th minute of play forced kurange le bain's goalkeeper Gery Hemelaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 98 minutes of play, Vaul-Chavanne's Dave Schockaert made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gery Hemelaers was left in no man's land by his defense there!
